86 year old Sarah Hussein Anyango Obama stole the show at celebrations to mark the US day in Nairobi. Dignitaries and guests all jostled for a chance to be photographed with Sarah the grandmother to Democratic Party Presidential hopeful Barrack Obama.
Prime Minister Raila Odinga and Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka also took the chance to pose for several photographs with Sarah.
Guests invited to United State's ambassadorial official residence currently occupied by Michael Rannerberger jostled to either hug or shake the hand of the Grannie who was clearly the focus during the celebrations.
