Reporter Laikipada District

My names are Susan M. Kuria and I am 25 years old. I am interested in mass communications and public relations. I am a CIV and work as a mobile reporter for MFAF. I am based in Laikipia West, a cosmopolitan town with the major tribe being Kikuyu. It is a semi-arid area with various crops doing well but maize does best. Most of the area was once forested but there is evidence of extensive destruction. On good days, you will find elephants grazing along the road. Though they cause damage to crops, people here have come up with ways of controlling them even if it means being up all night, thus living in harmony with nature-the elephants. Due to the most beautiful waterfalls, Thomsons Falls, the closest town Nyahururu tends to be very chilly but attracts many tourists who are accommodated at the Thomsons Falls Lodge throughout the year.
