This cutting edge discussion program that travels around the country giving  everyday Kenyans a chance to air their views during the run up to elections. Each province has a different set of problems, views and needs. This live show enables everyone to have their voices heard.  This live show also consists of panelists drawn from all areas of society, including aspirants, civil society groups, women, governement representatives to name a few.

 Vitimbi
is a sitcom played out around the family of Mr. Ojwang Hatari and his wife Mama Kayai (mother-of-Kayai) and focuses on the challenges they face as a family. This show has been on air for more than three decades in Kenya, has elevated the use of cultural collision and ethnic accents to captivate viewers.  As a result of its huge following, the show explores serious issues  which are presented in a more humorous manner and deals with issues such as intermarriages, tribalism and ethnicity, girl-child education and women in leadership.

Vioja Mahakamani is Swahili for Drama in the Courtroom. This show is played out in a courtroom complete with witnesses, a magistrate, the prosecution and the accused. This courtroom drama provides social commentary on the Kenyan social and criminal system and puts the realities of Kenyan culture on trial.  Vioja Mahakamani is an avenue through which many Kenyans learn about their rights, their entitlements and the rule of law in Kenya.


Tyme Yetu:  A new Youth talk show, airing on NTV with in-studio and on-location segments that  give the youth across the country, a chance to have their say and share their opinions on  what  issues are important to them politically  and socially  as elections draw near.  This show tackles serious issues in a youthful way, engaging and targeting the youthful audience, being informative and gauging the political temperature and force of the youth.  For More Tyme Yetu pictures click here

Ghetto Film Club is an initiative that was founded in mid 2006 by– Pato, Nyash, Wycliffe and Robert, to train young slum dwellers in film production. Other than Pato, who is the team’s director and has had some training, the other members of GFC are self-taught and there is no doubt about their passion and natural talent. GFC is located in Korogocho; one of Nairobi’s biggest slums.
Some of the goals of GFC are to provide young people in Korogocho with a chance to come together to highlight their issues in the slums and tell their own stories. They have set up a community school where they train young individuals in the different disciplines of Television and film; script-writing, editing and directing. As Ghetto Film Club grows, they would also like to share their knowledge with young people in other slums in Kenya.
Media Focus on Africa Foundation and Ghetto Film Club worked together to produce an infomercial for the Media Campaign. The infomercial touches on some of the issues that have been the focus of the 2007 campaign.  For more, watch the promotional video below.

RADIO
Radio has by far the greatest reach of all media in Kenya.  Tune in to interviews, debates and phone-in programmes on Citizen, Easy Fm, Kiss Fm, Classic Fm, KBC National Service (Kiswahili). The venacular stations will also feature 10 minute reports, 4 days a week, where local correspondents from stations will follow voter education facilitators while going into the communities, villages, slums and to the pastoralist areas.
